Ok, you come home from work and your family wants fluffy mashed potatoes to go with supper. “Ugh!” you say, “They take so long, and I have to mash AND whip them <sigh>.”
The next time you’re in this situation, all you have to do is stop by your local A&P or Metro store on your way home from work and pick up a package of FoodTrust Home Style Mashed Potatoes. Then when you get home you just microwave it for 3 minutes you’ve got a delicious accompaniment for any meal.
What makes these FoodTrust potatoes different from other packaged potatoes? Well, the staff at FoodTrust spent two years researching which potato is right for each cooking method. Once we knew which potato makes the best mashed potatoes, we started working on developing the best process to produce a fully cooked mashed potato. We wanted to develop a fresh and wholesome product that we would be proud to serve our own families.
We also wanted to use fresh, all natural, ingredients. One of our goals was to produce mashed potatoes that had no preservatives.
It took a great deal of effort, but the result is well worth it. Our home style fully cooked mashed potatoes are produced in small batches using only natural ingredients (potatoes, milk, cream, butter, and salt), and as one customer recently told us “my family finally says I got mashed potatoes right!”
Next time, fresh peeled potatoes.
